Need I say more about the Michelin-starred resort restaurant in the heart of Silverado Trail. We opted out to splurge on our desserts at this place, since the reservations for lunch and dinner has to be made way in advance.
The View:
It was tremendously breathtaking. The panoramic view of the vineyard was astonishingly dramatic, in a sense that we felt the serenity.
The Desserts:
We ordered the signature dessert, the handcrafted Torte au Chocolat. First, I have to say that there are seven layers to this show stopping cake. The layer upon layer of crisp hazelnut dacquoise, chocolate cremeux, pureed organic hazelnuts and dark chocolate ganache. Yes, we have to order seconds for this dessert. Heavenlisciously feeling of content relationship with chocolate.

Lemon Marmalade Shortcakes, Delta Blueberries, Toasted Meringue, Buttermilk Sorbet:
The desserts were light and refreshing. This particular palate uphill cake texture brings out the freshness of the blueberries on top.
Although I hear sunset views are stunning. My suggestion, visit during early spring and fall and get an early reservation for the balcony as they only have so much balcony room.
Auberge du Soleil is a true Napa service, and an afternoon in Auberge’s dining room was a lovely experience enhanced by a romantic ambience.
