Philippine’s top ranking stylist Liz Uy has earned her credibility to the fashion world. Her career started as an Editorial Assistant for Preview magazine in 2004. She has dressed some of Philippine’s most well-known—and well-dressed—names — Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, Marian Rivera, Georgina Wilson, Bianca Gonzalez, Sarah Geronimo, Julia Barretto, Isabelle Daza, Toni Gonzaga, and Kris Aquino are just a few at the top of her hefty résumé. She is currently a fashion editor for both Preview and Esquire Philippines.
I first heard of her book when I visited Cebu City, Philippines last March. I wondered what the fuss was about, Who’s-Who of the Queen City of the South were present. I later found out that Liz was scheduled to launch her book in the city of fashionistas- home of the renowned fashion designer, Monique Lhullier. In fact, Amparito Lhullier, Monique’s mom was in attendance. It took me a while to get hold of her book as copies were sold out. I finally got my own copy, just recently (special thanks to my cousin Angie Gomez). So now I’d like to impart my views of Liz Uy and her book Stylized.
